Activities

Jungle Walk

You get best animal sightings on foot at your own pace. You will be able to appreciate the smaller attractions of the jungle with our naturalists. Usually it is easy to see animals like rhinoceros, deer, wild boar, and sloth bear.

As animals prefer to live in less disturbed areas of the park, long day walks give access into wide areas of the park. You can extend your jungle walk for up to 6 days to increase the chances of seeing more animals.

Elephant Ride

Elephant is the safest way and most convenient way to get around in the jungle and observe the wild life.

Canoe Trip

A float down the river by dugout canoe is the best way to see crocodiles basking at the riverbank. It is also a relaxing way to watch birds and wildlife species that frequently come to drink water and bathe.

Jeep Safari

A jeep safari is the fastest way to visit a wide area of the park. Four-hour's drive takes you about 45 kilometers in the park passing all types of vegetation and wildlife habitats, so chances of seeing big games are high.

Bird Watching

Royal Chitwan National Park is known as a paradise for birds and birdwatchers. Chitwan valley records over 450 species of birds. The eagle eyes of our naturalist will point out some of the migratory and globally threatened birds.

Tharu Village

Tharus are the tribes of Chitwan. They ward off wild animals from flimsy watchtowers called MACHAN. Tharu houses are made of mud and dung plastered over with wood and reed frames. Their traditional culture is still strong in Terai. Our naturalist will take you to their village and describe their lifestyle and culture.

Culture Dance

Chitwan is the region where many ethnic groups are met and their own culture and customs are still alive. Folk musical tradition varies among Nepal's many ethnic groups. We perform the different types of dances in our resort for you to appreciate.

Elephant Breeding Center

Chitwan National Park has a renowned elephant breeding camp. It is among the very few elephant-breeding center around the world. You can enjoy seeing the newly born baby elephant and knowing about their fertility technique.
